                                   Tilaurakot is an important sites for historical. This place is famous for Buddhist as well as Hindu. Many people come here for religious purpose as well as to enjoy the historical sites or things. This place is important for Hindu Temple dedicate "DEITY SAMAI MAI" with in the ancients walls, where people come regularly to worship.

                                                                            It was in the ancient city of Kapilvastu that Prince Siddhartha was raised from his birth until the age of 29. This was the Capital of the ancient Sakhya Kingdom, where the Prince was treated to lavish life of luxury. A way of life that he would ultimately reject to began his Spiritual life.

                                                    The remain of the ancient capital are in modern day Tilaurakot and much of them been restore while Archaeological. Work is still taking place to uncover more part of the city and insight into the life of Siddhartha Gautam.

                                                                                As a major civic center from about the Ninth Century BC until the Third Century AD. There would once have been many grand building. Already, experts have uncovered palace, Structure, Temples, Roads and Ponds. Some of the artefacts that have been uncovered and during excavations are in display at he nearby Kaplivastu Museum.
